What can you do at a afternoon wedding reception?
My daughter is getting married in 2 days. It’s her second wedding so its small and shes not having a dj or music. It is at a hall and I was wondering is there is anything else we can plan except the obvious mingling with our friends and family? Is it appropriate if she opened up her cards/gifts there? We have cameras on the tables for picture taking. Does anyone have any other ideas of what we can do within the 3-4 hour time that is allowed?
Opening gifts at a wedding is not appropriate.
I think people mingling sounds fine. It gives the families a chance to get to know each other, and the bride and groom a better chance to spend time with their guests.
