iDump won’t read my iPod touch.?
So the other day my laptop gets a virus that pretty much locked it up. I bring my old desktop upstairs to use it…but all my songs, videos, pictures, etc are on my laptop.
I’ve been on here for four to five hours, reading all the tutorials and troubleshooting techniques on how to transfer ipod data to a PC (I’m using XP).
I downloaded iDump, but it says my ipod touch is missing, yet it’s hooked up. I’ve tried all the USB ports on my PC. I think the problem is that windows recognizes it as a camera device and not an ipod…but idk why that would effect iDump.
I’ve also tried the method without software…but can’t find the iPod_control ANYWHERE! even after selecting to view hidden folders.
I’m about to nuke my ****ing computer at this point…
with iDump I had to reconnect my ipod several times and press ‘try again’ many, many times before getting it to work
It really is worth it!
good luck:)
