vga = Video Graphics Array
jpeg = Is the industry standard for capturing an image electronically
Please note jpeg is compressed and loss of quality can sometimes be optically seen. The alternative is format called RAW. This isnt compressed and image quality is as the eye sees it.
All above cameras are reasonable, personally i would go for Canon, Fuji or Kodak (Because of build quality)
