Do I have to use a firewire cable to transfer my videos to an iMac?
Ok. I have a Sony DCR-HC42 video camera that comes with a dock thing where you plug in the USB cord to transfer videos onto the computer. Thing is, the iMac won’t recognize it or the software that comes with it, which is Mac compatible. I asked the Apple Discussions forum thing and someone said that you don’t need to install the software but instead get a firewire cable and use iMovie. I have the new iMac with the OS X Leopard software so I also have the latest iMovie. Any suggestions?
