Small size, big quality, in Sony Vegas 8.0?
Hi. I’ve got a little problem with Sony Vegas.
I captured a video from Sony video camera to my PC – it’s about 11 Gb big!
The problem is, that I need to get this video on DVD, but it’s too big!
Is there any method to keep the quality, but decrease the size? ![]()
Thanks
Are you trying to just drag the file to a DVD to burn it or are you trying to convert it to a playable DVD?
If, the second, then you need to edit, render, and export for DVD. That’s usually some version of MPEG2 and compressed for DVD.
The bitrate affects quality and it should be ok for your needs. Once you use compression you start losing image quality either slightly or to a great degree. You have to find the line between quality and file size.
