what accessories should I buy for my camera?
I have just got a Sony Alpha a390..
What do I need to go with it
I was told to get a remote release what ever that is, and filters etc this is my first dslr
I am in the UK thank you

You are apparently a novice photographer or you would already know the bits that you need. I think that you’re probably not ready for a DSLR of the quality, complexity and capability of the A390. But, as you’ve got it, you must now learn fast so that you can enjoy the versatility of this camera; and appreciate what makes it better than a snapshot compact camera.
You must have:-
A carry case big enough for the camera and accessories.
A tripod; get a good solid one rather than a cheap one so that vibration (camera shake) is limited. Expect to pay about £40 or £50.
Remote shutter release. This is an adaptor that alows you to fire the shutter without pressing the button on top of the camera. You can either get a cable device or an infra-red device, the choice is yours. The advantage of a remote release is that you can use the camera on occasions when you want absoluteley NO vibration cause by your finger on the button. (e.g. when using the self-timer or a very slow shutter speed).
Lens filters. These are coated glass filters which screw into the thread just in front of the lens. The most common filter is an Ultra Violet (UV) one. There are two main beneifts from a UV filter left permanently attached: It reduces the “blueing” that can occur due to UV skylight; it also provides a mechanical protection against blown dist and grit scratching your expensive objective lens.
You can get lots of other filters which produce cunning effects on your photos, such as polarising, tinted, part tinted, etc. Anything other than a UV filter really is for advanced photographers.
Spare battery. You must have this, and keep it charged so that you have it with you when you go out on a ‘shoot’.
Spare memory card. As with the battery. You don’t want to be caught with “card full” just when you see the real flying saucer land.
70-200mm zoom lens.
