SONY Cyber-Shot 1.1 Camera Instructions and Help?
This not an digital SLR camera, but the questions may be answered with simple technique. Having a knowledge of this camera would certainly help as well. 1st) I want to shoot a subject, somewhat close-up, and I want the surrounding to be blurred somewhat, at least the subject should be the only one that is tight and focused. 2nd) I want to do a close up of an elderly person, and I want to pick up every line and lash on this person.What would I need to do in order to pick up such fine detail, with this camera.As much as I would LOVE a digital SLR camera,cannot afford it,so I have to use the one I have. PLEASE, and help and suggestions are certainly appreciated. I’ve read the manual, but it’s useless in helping me with what I am trying to accomplish…..Thanks

Im not an expert on sony cyber-shot 1.1 but if you want, I can offer advice on editing the actual photo itself.
1) get a free copy of Gimp from Gimp.com
2) Take your photo as usual covering the subject including the others , these will be dealt with see below.
3) Fire up the Free version of gimp and import the photo into the editing platform.
4) Go to the TOOLS section and choose the selector tool.
NOW THE BEST PART/THE EASY WAY
5) Select the UNWANTED areas one at a time and use the BLUR tool to give that effect “the one that you are looking for”
This is sort of reverse of how this tool should work, but it works.
