Can I use a webcam with a built-in microphone alongside a separate microphone?
I am venturing into the world of Skype/MSN video messaging/similar. My mother in France would like to be able to chat to me on the ‘phone’ and watch my baby son playing. I need to be able to have the camera angled at my son but then I think the microphone on the camera will be in the wrong direction because I will still be sat with my laptop. So can I mute it and get a separate microphone headset for me to use? or is there a better option? Or are the built-in microphones bendy? Many thanks, as you can tell I don’t have a clue what I am doing!!!
