really bad fringing with nikon d5000?
I have been having a real problem with my nikon d5000 recently…… fringing. this is using the 18-55mm kit lens. I am shooting RAW format so i suppose there is no in camera correction. the really horrible thing is that all the fringing is always cyan, red, green, or a nasty combination of all of them which photoshop elements 9 does NOT detect using the ‘defringe’ layer option. I have tried manually desaturating these colours but usually end up with a horrible big grey line where the fringing was. anybody know how i can easily correct the fringing using elements 9? or is there an option i have turned off on my camera.
please help!
yeah, i know you can do it in lightroom 3, but i dont have it…. please tell me a way to do it in elements?
Right, defringe should be done in RAW processing. That means when you open up your NEF file with PsE you should have a “Camera RAW” window pop up, in one of the sections for this, there should be a Tab for “Lens Corrections” In that you should have options for “Chromatic Abberation” in which there is a “Defringe” option.
