Does anyone own a 2010 honda odyssey with the DVD RES? Opinions about the camera on the rearview mirror?
I test drove one with RES and NAVI so the camera was on a screen on dashboard. Without the Navi option the camera shows up on the left side of rearview mirror when you reverse. Is this a neat feature? Opinions?
It’s a really nice feature, but it is somewhat small compared to the NAVI screen. Obviously, you cannot rely on the rearview mirror backup camera alone (same with a NAVI screen), but it’s a nice extra for blind spots.

The King of the Road – the Honda Odyssey Touring
Forget all your thoughts regarding traditional family vans, think of the Honda Touring as the start of your most luxurious adventure. From the driver memory recall seat and mirror position, steering wheel with tilt and telescopic adjustment, cruise control, heated front seats, lumbar adjustable driver seat, unbelievable stereo sound system, an MP3 jack if you prefer to listen to your iPod, sophisticated CD changer, XM satellite radio, the list goes on and on. The second row enjoys individual bucket seats, separate temperature controls, hidden in-floor lazy-susan storage and drop-down sun shades. Passengers in the 2nd and 3rd row can watch a DVD or listen to radio with their own headsets so as to not disturb the driver. Cup-holders galore! The 3rd row is a 60/40 split with separate climate control. Passengers and driver can luxuriate in this Touring model without being aggravated by road noise as a result of built-in active noise cancellation technology. You’ll arrive at your destination feeling refreshed, relaxed and secure in the knowledge that you are driving one extremely safe car.
Never worry again whether tires are at the correct pressure, at the touch of a button all tire pressure readings will be displayed. And even if you have a flat, you can drive up to a 100 miles – time enough to get to a service station. The Touring has front and back sensors that warn when approaching too closely to obstructions. Airbags are situated at critical points such as front dual-stage multiple-threshold airbag system, front side airbags, and three-row side curtain airbags with rollover sensor technology. You’ll enjoy anti-lock braking system (ABS), that extra bit of braking with brake assist, 3-point seat belts at all positions, voice recognition satellite-linked navigation system and rearview camera. What does this Touring not have?
