Digital cameras?
I’m looking at two sony cameras.
Model Pixel LCD Price
Sony DSC-W30 6.0 2.0″ $220
Sony DSC-N1 8.1 3.0″ touch screen $445
I’m just a novice picture taker and don’t need any high tech cameras, so I was wondering, between these two cameras, is there really a difference in the megapixels? If anyone has any info on these two cameras let me know. I’d like to get the $220, but if the $445 is the way to go, let me know.
Yes the megapixels really do make a difference. The higher the MPs the better quality your pictures will be. Deciding which one to buy depends on you. If you aren’t going to take that many pictures and aren’t going to do much with them (i.e. have the pictures enlarged and printed) than you may want to go with the cheaper camera. The general rule is that up to 4 MP you can blow your pictures up to 5×7 and still get a good quality picture.
If you are going to spend the money, I would recommend getting at the very least a 3 mp camera though.
