Nikon Pink Camera Case
What is wrong with my new Nikon Coolpix digital camera?
I got the hot pink one for Christmas. Whenever i turn it on it goes to the blank screen and just stays there. No camera or video mode or anything. I just recharged the battery last night so it can’t have anything to do with that. I haven’t dropped that camera or anything, i always keep it in a case and in in one place whenever i’m not using it (in this case my organizing cabinet in the drawer where i keep all my other electronic things). I’m not sure if its got to do with the memory card or not i just put it in this morning. What could this be?Any help is greatly appreciated!Thank you!

I doubt it’s the memory card but try turning it on without the card in it.
Try turning it on in a different mode using the dial (I assume there is a mode dial as you didn’t state the model number).
You could also take it back to the store to let them figure it out and if they can’t, have them exchange it for a new one. It’s obviously still under warranty.
Very Helpful User Reviews For The Canon sd1300is Digital Camera
I received the Canon sd1300is as a Christmas Gift, and it replaced my old Nikon S220 ( i think it was the S220), after it got broke. Anyways I compared pictures taken with this one to the ones taken with the Nikon and these pictures were beautiful! I read many negative reviews about this camera, but haven’t had any problems with it.
The pink one is a pretty color. I’m not a professional photographer, just a casual user so i won’t compare it to SLR camera’s. Its very easy to use for a beginner, with an easy to navigate through menu, and its easy to turn off the flash. Overall a great little camera and i’m looking forward to using it for our Disneyland trips and such!
I have had this Canon sd1300is for about 6 months now and like other canon models I have had, it really is a great product that I recommend to my family and friends. This camera has great features, intuitive controls and looks so sleek. It is also small enough to keep it in a pocket or clutch bag, which is a plus. The colors are vivid, and it snaps a picture fairly quickly after the button is pushed.
I found the charge lasts a very long time, my pictures always turn out great, and are so easy to import onto my computer (plug and done). I also love the color select feature and the sepia. The videos turn out great.
Remember to grab a memory card to hold your pics and a case to keep it safe from weather and getting dirt in the lens…I destroyed a previous canon (8mp version of this one, which I also loved) by not using a case and just stuffing it in my bags.
I don’t really have too many complaints, maybe that the screen was a bit bigger?
I have never liked the thought of compact cameras but I LOVE this camera! Not only does it take great still pictures and is easy to use (my two year old figures out features on it), the video feature is my fave. High quality video and as easy to do as taking a picture. Sure beats lugging around a camcorder, and you never have that when you need it anyway.
Like the other comment poster, I put it in my purse and have it for those great every day shots that I would have missed. And the green color is SWEET! IS feature is great for pics of kids and one of the key reasons I got it.
Canon has not disappointed on this or any other product we have gotten from them.
