Memory card “cannot be used” in my Nikon Coolpix S400.?
I just got a Nikon Coolpix S400 and I wanted to use an old memory card. I’m using the Kingston SD 2GB memory card and when I put it in the camera, it says “cannot be used.” I looked it up and it says that I need to format it. I go into the menu WITHOUT the card in because I can’t get to the menu with it in. Once in the menu I “format memory.” It deletes all my pictures but still won’t use the card. PLEASE HELP ME?
Check that the SD card isn’t “locked”
There’s a little slide switch on the edge of the card, it should be pushed towards the end of the card where the metal contacts are, this unlocks the card.
