Why isnt the mac compatible with anything ? So annoying? My printer is offline . How do i get it online ?
I cant use most cameras , printers , etc . I thought it was compatible with hp printers but when i hook the printer up , nothing comes up . Same with cameras ( cannon , Nikon , kodak , etc ) . Why is this ? Is my mac messed up or is the mac really not compatible with these things ?
Also It says my printer is offline . How do i get it online ? Thanks
You’ll need to get the Mac-compatible driver for your HP printer, and for the other devices. Some companies write Mac drivers; some do not. If you don’t have those drivers, then the device in question will not work with the Mac; it’s just a program that helps “translate” between the two devices, and the de facto standard is Windows.
The best way to get a driver (in general) is to go to the device manufacturer’s web site and download it; that way, you know you’re getting the most recent driver possible. And it’s not a bad idea to check from time to time if you use a device a lot, and get updated drivers when they are published; manufacturers are constantly working to correct reported problems, and sometimes installing the latest driver can prevent a problem from ever occurring with your system.
