Nikon Camera Bag
how to keep my DSLR camera and lens?
i recently bought a nikon d60 camera with 18-55 lens.i just keeps them inside the leather camera bag i bought with them.the lens is removed from the body and is covered with a plastic sheet then fixed on the thermocol and then i put it inside the paper box after that inside the bag.is this ok?do i need special care to keep it?is is necessary to have a vacuum box and silica gel?
You have some good answers already, but I would add that you should keep the lens on the camera at all times. One of the problems you can have with digital SLRs is getting dust on the camera’s sensor. It is a pain to get off, and sometimes it is just better to pay a camera store $60 to have them do it.
Dust can get in your camera many different ways, but the easiest way is to sneak in when you are changing lenses, or in your case taking the lens off for storage. If you only have one lens, keep it on the camera at all times.
Nikon Lenses – The 5 Best You Can Get For Your Nikon Camera
The following lenses cover a variety of sizes and prices but they are some of the best lenses you can get.
1. Nikon 50mm f/1.8D AF you can find this lens for about $125 I picked it as one of the bests because it uses proven technologies and is inexpensive. However be aware that this lens will not work with the following cameras due to lake of Auto-focus on the cameras: D40, D40x, D60 and F3. Though the camera might not work on those cameras on the rest it works beautifully.
2. Nikon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED II AF-S DX Zoom Nikkor – This lens is if your a casual photographer is total dream it has everything you could possibly need. This DX format lens can focus very fast and accuratly, it is also a wide-angle lens. This particular lens can be added to your camera bag for only $109.95 but can be bought with a camera depending on where you buy.
3. Nikon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6G AF-S ED VR II – This lens comes only in DX format and paired with a good DX camera can do amazing things. You will be shooting like a pro instantly and it will more than likely be the only lens you need. These lenses are being sold for quite a bit of coin but it is one of the best lenses around and you will appreciate it and get lots of use out of your investment with this camera. It’s price can vary between $750 and $899.
4. Nikon 135mm f/2.0D AF DC Nikkor – This lens is the second most expensive of my recommendations for you but it truelly is one heck of a lens. This lens is better suited if one of the services you offer is portraits. This camera if your doing things like senior pictures for high school seniors is amazing due mainly to the Defocus Control or DC which allows your camera to only focus on the subject and blurr the surrounds. You can find this lens online for as low as $1,389.59 but prices tend to fluctuate on this lens.
5. Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8G ED AF-S Nikkor Wide Angle Zoom Lens – This next lens is the heaviest and most expensive but it does offer the most compatability with it allowing you to use either DX or FX format camera. The versatility of this little lens alone makes it worth the price and that’s without even considering how crisp and clear it’s zoom is. If you’ve been looking for a lens that is both wide-angle and can take sharp and crisp pictures you’ve found it here. This lens can be found for as low as $1,819.86 online.
