Is the price of the Nikon D300s expected to drop soon after release?
I live in the UK and am planning on getting a Nikon D300s in the near future. The camera is due for release at the end of this month (August).
It is available now to pre-order at a (seemingly universal) price of £1499. At Jessop’s (provided that you pre-order it before its release) this price also includes a free 16gb CF card (which I want) and a free Lowepro Slingshot bag (which I don’t want, as I plan on getting a bigger bag).
Should I go ahead and pre-order it, or should I wait a short while until after it is released, and then see if the price comes down?
Should the price come down at all in the near future?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
All cameras, and in fact, all electronics decline in price as soon as they are released, its the nature of technology. Given that, i’d suggest waiting until the camera has hit the market and competition drives the price down.
