Alternative Reality Dream?
Last night I was lying in my bed before I fell asleep and listening to my iPhone when I fell asleep. I dreamt this: I was sleeping in my room, in my same bed, and in my dream I woke up to turn off my iPhone. Suddenly, all my saved photos on it started flashing rapidly, ending with my iPhone in camera mode, when I pointed it I saw a little girl with a white dress, but only through my phone. She was walking in circles closer and closer to me. I called out to my cousin who I had felt walk in the room earlier, and in my head her name sounded clearly, but I could hear my awake self mumbling. What happened? How could I be asleep and notice my surroundings? Is my dream significant in any way? Why could I hear myself in my head and in reality?
Its a state of dreaming. When you get close enough that you are about to wake, but are still in the REM part of the sleep cycle, your body is perceiving both “realities”. I do this a lot. It usually results in a hallucination type feeling as though your dreams actually became a part of your real world, or vice versa.
Usually people that experiencing these things are getting little sleep or have interrupted sleep cycles. Are you stressed about something? Is something in your life bothering you? That could be a cause of this type of dream, although it’s nothing bad, you should worry about it unless your dreams begin to get violent.
