Though, Apple encourages developers, sometimes, if the applications are not acceptable to the company. Also, in case of appropriate applications the company retains full control over their distribution. To give an example of inappropriate application, there was one application called I Am Rich. The company rejected this application just because it displayed the wealth of its user. Hence, any such application that the company does not want the iPhone to have, it just bans it. Another important thing that iPhone app developers need to know is that Apple does not allow native applications to be installed on iPhone outside App store. The company has given a reason for this by saying that those native applications outside App store may get broken by any software update, however, the software update is not focused to break the applications other than those that perform SIM unlocking.
