I need to buy a new digital came i need one that takes nice pics , $200 and lower, the one i had b4 sucked!?
i had an hp digital camera (the ones that come with a little printer) the camera was okay the flash was unpredictable and when it did flash the pic would be soo bright that i could only see eyes and lips ={, and after i would press the shutter button to take pics it would take forever to take the pic sometimes i couldnt get the pic that i wanted to because it would take so long that the moment of the pic i wanted past and i have children and they dont always stay as still as wanted for pics, so i need a digital camara that takes nice pics, takes pics fast, and that is $200 or lower (lower would be great but you cant skimp out of nice quality pics) so anyone with good suggestions, it would be helpful b4 i go out to buy another camara i dislike. Unfortunately, any camera in your price range will be a Point & Shoot digicam – and all digicams suffer from shutter lag. You described shutter lag perfectly and how using the flash exacerbates the problem.
When you aren’t using the flash you can lessen shutter lag by pressing the shutter release 1/2 way to allow the camera to focus and then finish releasing the shutter. Of course, this doesn’t guarantee you’ll actually capture your children at the exact moment you wanted to.
A DSLR is the only real solution to your problem. You’ll be looking at between $500 to $700 for a Sony or Canon or Nikon or Pentax. Sony and Pentax have their Image Stabilization (IS) in the camera body. IS really helps when you don’t want to use a flash.
I realize this isn’t exactly what you wanted to hear.
