This is not going to work for me because it’s a friggin invasion of my privacy.
now she will know where i hide my diary and sneak in and read it.
and i feel uncomfortable knowing she is watching everything i do, like doing my hair and makeup (leads to her saying i spend too much time primping), watching me change, and a bunch of other stuff…
she says i am growing up and i need watching over, i disagree i’m not a bad girl or anything and i do well in school so what’s her problem?

Wellll… let’s start with the good. The good news is that she cares about you, and is concerned, and she loves you.
The bad news is, it sounds like you are a teenager, and it’s an awkward time and some amount of privacy is necessary. Are you sure that she is serious about this, or just threatening to see how you will respond?
Sometimes parents will see if the child freaks out in case they have something to hide. But I think anyone would freak out with that. I know I would.
Besides, everyone’s room should be their own personal sanctuary, where you rest, etc. etc. Is she going to watch footage of you sleeping or getting dressed?
If she is serious and she does install this camera, I suggest you do like the other posters said and just cover the lense. That’s excessive.
