How much does a professional cameras cost?
I’m interested in making a film and having that as my job. So I want to make a independent film when I’m older, I’m 16 right now. So i looked online for professional cameras and saw some by a company named ARRI and wanted to know if anyone knew how much a camera like this would cost? I would want what is consider to be a “beginner camera” like what a film student would use. Also it would be helpful if someone could tell me if the film used in those cameras are permanent. Like once you record something on it can you like rewind and record on it again or does film like that not do that. Thanks alot!
Film students usually use video camera’s and is most likely VHS and the tape they use can be used over and over.
But camera’s that they make for professional filming such as you want use Cellulose film which can not be used over again once you use it that’s it.
Buy your self a good video camera and keep practicing with that until you become good at it and save up for a pro camera and by the time you become really good at it you will have enough money to buy one..Oh one more thing you found a camera that you liked right ? if there was no price on it you can bet it must run about thirty to forty thousand dollars or more.
