The lens cover on my digital camera won’t open properly?
I have a Kodak EasyShare Z700 digital camera. Everything works just fine, but the plastic cover over the lens no longer opens when I turn it on. I’m sure it’s an entirely mechanical problem, since I can insert a tiny piece of toothpick into the lens area to keep the lens cover propped open. How can I repair this so that it will stay open like it used to?
You can’t repair it – only a qualified technician can do that.
I don’t mean to ruin your day but I can tell you the number of write ups we see here every day about problems with Kodak cameras – the list
is endless.
I’d suggest an estimate or two on repair because it can be expensive.
