Digital Camera Pentax Optio S

I have to choose between a Pentax and a Kodak Digital camera, which one should I pack???

http://www.5diamondcamera.com/products.cfm/Digital-Photography/Digital-Cameras/Digital-SLR/Pentax-Optio-T20-7-Megapixels-Digital-Camera-with-3x-Optical-Zoom-19181.html
One is similar to the one linked above which is a Pentax T30 7.1 mega pixel, however it is 3 years old and semi used but in mint condition. The second is http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQuerier.jhtml?pq-path=11206&pq-locale=en_US
And it’s brand new but it seems the other one (Pentax)seemed like it was better built just not as high of mega pixel and the Lens doesn’t look nearly as cool as the Kodak’s. But I would guess Pentax is maybe the better one in the long run. It was easier to figure the menu out also. But the Kodak Z1275 is 12 mega pixels, however I heard this number often is not the “True” measuring factor and often this inflated number equals a much closer image to a 7 MP which one is my best choice ??
P.S. do cameras come with SD cards or are they seprate usually ???

I would go with the Pentax. it is a much higher quality camera than the Kodak. Once you get past 5 Mp, sensor size counts more than Mp. Bigger is better.

A 12 Mp P&S will be very susceptible to digital noise – spurious dots of colour, particularly in the dark areas of your photos – than the 7 Mp camera, simply because the camera has to amplify the signal more with the smaller pixels in the sensor. (More pixels in the same area = smaller pixels = less signal from the light because the pixel is smaller).
