Which camera would you recomend. Panasonic or canon?
Hi. I am currently an owner of a casio fz-750 p&s digital camera. Works pretty good. I have been wanting to buy a DSLR, but found out about the lenses, carring troubles, etc. so Im between the Panasonic Lumix DMC- fz18, or the canon powershot s5. Have an older model lumix 5 MP panasonic camera and takes good pics not so good video. my only experience with canon is a little film. Not a pro just like gadgets. Thanks

they’re both great cameras. The S5 has been around longer and the FZ18 just recently came out. Do a side by side on dpreview if you haven’t already. Although Canon has a great reputation for cameras, I’d keep my options open. I guess it depends on you whether you want to stray from Panasonic this one time to try the S5, or stick with your Leica lens and Panasonic “feel”. I’m sure whatever you decide, you’ll make the right choice.
