Help, my camera won’t work.I have a Sony Digital camera that I had not charged nor used in two years.?
Now it doesn’t work. I tried charging the battery, but it won’t charge. The charge light won’t even go on when I plug it into the outlet. Is there an internal battery that needs replacement or is the camera no good anymore?
If it is a LIon battery then most likely it is dead. Get another and try that. There should be an adapter or cord for direct connect to the charger or wall outlet so that you can run the camera without a battery for indoor studio work.
There is a small coin battery that keeps the memory of the camera going. Things like options and Date/Time are powered by that battery. I have not seen a camcorder that had to have that battery in order to work.
