Nikon D90 – The price here isn’t too bad.
Normal Lens: 35mm AF-S f1.8 Nikkor. THis lens runs about $200. It looks as a 50mm looks on a Film or FX body. If you want 50mm, remember that the D90 can drive screw-focus lenses. Get the AF-D 50mm f1.8, for about 1/3 the price as the Sigma lens ($130)
Getting a 70-200 lens is impractical when you already are thinking about getting a 18-250. I’d actually skip on the superzooms altogether and get an ultrawide zoom, and a tele-zoom to compliment the fast prime lens:
Tokina makes an 11-16mm f2.8 lens, and a 12-24 f4 lens, both of which are outstanding wide angle lenses.
For the telephoto, you could get Nikkor, a 70-300 Nikkor, or (the cheapest idea), a 55-200 f4-5.6. It runs about $200
Teleconverters kill image quality. The SB-600 is a great flash, but you can get it cheaper than this.
