Can I install Windows XP Professional on an eeePC computer?
Can I use an eeePC computer as a regular laptop if I put additional memory on it and buy a CD/DVD R+Rw drive for it???
Also, you know those SD cards for your digital camera??? What if I bought a 16 GB one of those and put it into the memory card slot of the eeePC instead of buying an external hard drive, so I dont really have to lug anything around… would that work? Can you even install programs on an SD card?

Yes you can install XP but better increase RAM to 1Gb. I was able to run XP on a P3-500 w/ 3x128Mb RAM and a dedicated graphics card. Good enough for internet, downloading and light office apps.
Because of limited storage capability, better install lean softwares or applications. 16Gb memory card would definitely improve storage space.
If you want games or a more powerful processor, better not consider the ee PC.
