Is there any way to keep dead or hot pixel from showing in my digital photos?
I have a Panasonic DMC FZ20 camera, that takes great pictures, but at times it allows hot or dead pixels to appear in my photos. Is there anyway to stop this?
If the hot pixels are appearing in the photo itself, replacing the LCD isn’t going to do anything… the problem is in the sensor itself, which you don’t want to replace! If you’re going to replace the sensor, if that it is at all possible, you might as well replace the whole camera.
Fortunately, hot pixels are very easy to clone out. Open your image in Photoshop and use the cloning tool to quickly remove your hot pixels.
I do not believe there is a way to prevent the dead pixel from showing up at all in the photo. I can see it would be a hassle to clone out pixels on all your shots, but I edit only the few that I like so I don’t consider it work.
