Is this the right flash memory card for my camera?
I have an old canon digital camera and it came with a sanDisk memory card. It ran out of space so I bought a PNY memory card but not sure if it is compatible for my camera. Are mem cards universal?
Yes, cards are universal providing they are the same type—SD, CF, etc. But you can still use the old one if you upload the pictures to your computer and then format the card in the camera. That will erase all of the pictures and you can start over with it.
If it is an old camera, it may not take cards any bigger than 2GB. To be sure, always buy the same size as the old one.
