do you feel sad for not living in the 1950′s as a teen ?
My parents were teens in the 50′s. I wasn’t born until the late 80′s. The music was great. The fashions were NOT very great. The cars HAD PERSONALITY. A lot of good movies came out in the 50′s. The music sounded beautiful. People actually sang songs back then. Today , all people do is “Rap about drugs , gangs , and sex”.
There was no internet. But there was TV. No reality shows. But there were TV Shows.
Things were way cheaper in the 50′s. Gas was only a quarter. Today , gas cost over $6.
ONE BAD THINGS ABOUT THE 50′S : Racism / Sexism (Women were slaves in their homes. Women were sexually harassed at work. Women weren’t allowed to get certain jobs , etc)
Cars : Had no seat belts or air bags. And didn’t even have air conditioning.
No Internet / Cell Phones / Ipods / Digital Cameras / Microwave Ovens (You had to eat your food while it was warm).
