new with photography , what camera to use?

Here's the deal, I founded a charity and I am trying to find an excellent camera that I can use for our events, promotion, and marketing. In the future I would like to get into photography as well...but I'm absolutely new to this..i am only 15 but I figure if i start now i can become a talented photographer in the future..
I don;t want to get a crummy camera and move onto a better one every few years..i'd rather have a medium level camera and work with that for a few years ...
any advice on photography , info, anything! please guide me..

Start on a cheap, fully adjustable manual digital point and shoot. That’ll teach you the basics. Then move on to a dslr.
Even better, consider getting a 35mm film slr with a standard (50mm) lens. They’re readily available used and for cheap. Go back to the film days, and you’ll soon find out that you pay for getting film processed, and you have to make every picture as perfect as possible. Every shot counts, there’s no “delete” button.
