need advice regarding digital slr?

i bought a canon 400d digital camera kit, 10mp, im thinking of using it to supplement a catering business, i also would like to use it to taking class pictures in schools, and yearbooks, and some studio shots maybe use it in events photography, and studio photography, what do i need to learn, need to have, and hopfully u can guide me. at present i only have the dslr, im thinking of getting additional eqpts and knowledge.

if u knw how to use it to the maxi.
First of if ur intending to take pictures for food photography
u would need a converter…or a marco lens..
A converter is much cheaper though…
