need help with canon digital ixus IIs – can’t browse images on PC?

My brother lost the CD containing the original software. I tried to download the images this way –> My PC –> canon digital ixus IIs –> (right click) –> download images (don’t know how the translation would be, it’s not in english)… but doesn’t seem able to work…

i get my pictures a slightly different and more difficult way but you’ll be able to do it…

ok so plug in the camera with the memory card in it (you usually have to turn the camera on to see the pics), or plug in the memory card to a memory card reader.

find it on My Computer > Removable Disk something

click that, then keep clicking until you see the pictures

make a file under My Pictures or wherever you want them

highlight all the pictures and copy and paste them into the folder you just created

now you can disconnect the camera & work with the pictures

if you need editing software, Picasa from google is free or there are millions of other things out there, just be careful what you download. you probably already have some decent programs on your computer.
