Canon Camera Cleaning Cost
what is the average cost to get a digital camera cleaned?
i can see a black speck when i look through the viewfinder of my Canon XSi, and while it doesn’t affect the pictures, it’s definitely an annoyance. i want to run it to my local camera store tomorrow, but i have no clue what price to expect. anyone know the average?
Why not do it yourself? I realise it’s a little daunting at first, but it isn’t as difficult as people make out.
I clean my sensors about once a month on all my DSLR’s, I use these products available from most any Photographic Dealer

I’ve done this loads of times over the years, never any problem and it really does work. Just make sure you’re battery is fully charged so the mirror doesn’t close on you.
Get the E2 fluid as that can be used on any sensor.

My Personal Travel Getaway With My New Canon PowerShot G12
I went to help LA last week, from Ecuador intended for 10 days on holidays, I wished to obtain this completely new camera – Canon PowerShot G12 in my hands to feel it, but at Samy’s store at Fairfax blvd, they didn’t hold the camera yet,
I ordered one from Amazon, (cost ?$600 plus fast shipping! because it was the only one available by that moment, however…), finally I have it in my hands.
First impressions: compact enough, certainly not exactly a point & shoot camera, and not to significant too, ideal to create with that you’ better equipment than any point & shoot camera any had been without to carry a big dslr and loads of lenses, actually I have a Canon 5d mkII, a canon 50d and I began the dslr world with the famous Canon 20d, something important is that I use all this cameras with a bunch of old Nikkor lenses (at least 20 years old) having an adapter ring, for me it is the perfect marriage, Canon body with old Nikkor lenses, obviously I might only use the manual mode and really have to use the manual focus ring to get focus but…while my sight is 20/20 love the ultimate results.
Some features about this camera:
1. Canon G12′s lcd can be fantastic, allows to take pictures or movie shoots in effective any status and circumstance, nice also if you are taking videos or don’t try to be noticed for all those shooting, finding more spontaneous photos.
2. The ergonomic of the wheels for ISO, compensation and the mode selector are well located, they work firmly.
3. The ultra-modern front wheel, that works for increase or decrease the aperture as well as shutter speed is excellent.
4. The menu in this Canon G12 is user-friendly and uncomplicated and I prefer the new formats and sizes you takes pictures, 10: 9, 4: 3, 1: 1, 3: 2, 4: 5 allows to getting a better composition and photo formats without crop the image.
5. The rugged feel might be nice for me, besides is actually in two regions of the camera, wherever your hand and fingers needs more support.
6. To begin with instance I though the optical view finder appears to get so uncomplicated and “awful” just like somebody stated to before, although, the diopter corrector works fine and while I clean the visor glasses, become and so clear and even nice that in some way I am deploying it a bunch, because don’t need to open the lcd screen and it is possible to find out the green or orange light which claims that the exposition is ok or not, “going back in the old times”.
7. I did not try out enough the video, but at first look, it can be ok together with allows to record some interesting moments.
8. The quality of the pictures in this Canon PowerShot G12 is awesome, really love it, finally will have almost the quality I get with my DSLRs but in a small camera.
9. It will be fast, is getting ready to take pictures maybe in a second.
10. The quality of the lcd screen may be isn’t the best, although, allows you to see if the picture is ok, and normally once you see that the picture is ok, as you opened in a software the picture is! really good!
11. in my circumstances all the wheels are well located, the buttons are within the right put, I employ a normal hands size, use xl gloves, but did not fat fingers.
12. The autofocus works great, fast and having an excellent accuracy, feature not readily accessible in a little camera, so reduces the chance of loosing a nice photo.
It is my to begin with week with this camera, I will let you recognize ever more of my experience.
