Recommended camcorder for up to £650 to run a documentary making project?
The camera must have the following functions:
Manual functions (for white balance, aperture, focus)
Viewfinder (not just a LCD screen)
External microphone socket (I can’t rely on the internal mic)
Firewire connector / IIEE1394 / iLink
Mac compatible (we’ll be using Final Cut Express to edit)
I’m not experienced with hard disk drive cameras and the memory card would need to be bought within the £650 budget. I wouldn’t rule this out though.
All accessories: extra batteries, tripod etc would come from a separate budget so the £650 is for the camera (and memory card if applicable) ONLY.
