How does an VGA to RCA cable work?
I want to connect my security camera receiver to my computer. It has RCA output jacks. If I plug in the RCA to VGA cable in to the receiver and connect it to my computer will I see the output from my camera on my monitor? Or does it work as an output from the computer to a TV for example? If so, then what equipment do i need?
A VGA to RCA cable does not really work unless your camera outputs RGB (and not YPbPr).
In addition, on your PC, VGA is OUTPUT and connecting two outputs never works either.
Camera out to PC monitor in may work if the camera outputs RGB, otherwise you need a video converter.
