Camera flash help?????
Ok so im kinda new to the world of off-camera flashes, so i was wondering if anyone has any tips. I have two vivitar 285 flash guns, both with umbrellas and radio triggers. Are there any like general rules of thumb i should know about the setup and which direction the light should come from and things like that.
Any tips about flash setup would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
P.S.- I do mostly portraits and action shots (skateboarding and snowboarding) Tips for both categories would be really helpful!! Thanks!
Also, what do you guys think about the vivitar 285 flashes?
Not sure if you checked out David Hobby’s blog yet but you will find all you need to know about off camera flash there. www.strobist.blogspot.com
Check out the lighting 101 section. There are some great photos there too.
Hope that helps and happy shooting.
