Other uses for a tripod, other than a camera?
I just got a good tripod and want uses for it other than a camera.

You have a mount to put anything on it, how about using for a laptop or portable dvd player? You can use for the obvious stuff, like flashes, telescopes, binoculars, spotting scopes, etc. Maybe a stand for your stereo/surround sound speakers. Maybe even some light weight surface to make it a small table. You could even use to hold a model plane, car, ship, etc.
