What’s the difference between a Diorama Effect and a Tilt-Shift Effect?
are they two different techniques?
Or does using a tilt-shift camera/technique result in a diorama effect….

Diorama effect is a post production technique used to produce a very narrow band of focus, similar to what you get when working close up. Tilt and shift movements can be used to manipulate the attitude of the plane of sharp focus as well as controlling perspective effects (converging verticals.)
You may be able to create a diorama effect by shooting wide open on a large format camera (possibly with the help of ND filters,) but tilt and shift wont affect the depth of field as such, just its orientation.
So yes, they are two very different techniques.
