This means if you are using 100 iso, you set your shutter speed to 125, and play around the aperture from 16 down to 1.4 to get the right exposure to your subject.
3. Your gear
Make sure to remember to learn new things about your gear. If you have a Nikon, always remember that it could produce a soft effect on the skin. If you are not a photojournalist, this may be of your advantage. However, if you are a portrait photographer, Canon lens can still give you the most detail.
4. Don’t ignore the old.
No matter how many digital SLR you buy, nothing can replicate the power of film. Though it takes a long time to process, and print these things, nothing beats their quality! Today, film can only be replicated by a $40,000 worth of phase 1 digital back.
5. Do not be afraid to experiment and to take down notes
If you are committing the same mistakes over and over again, you are not learning the right ways of photography. However, if you are taking down notes on the things like aperture, exposure time and iso, you are becoming a better photographer.
