Anyone own a Rollei B 35 camera?
Anyone own a Rollei B 35 camera? Why are there two shutter speed dials on this camera? One on a dial the around the lens which can be turned to the required speed B 30 60 125 250 500 and one on the top of the camera with 30 60 125 250 500 (No B setting). Are they connected mechanically? Can they be used independently or do they both have to be at the same shutter speed? Confused.

Fishmeis. I think I understand it now. The shutter/light meter dial on the top is just a guide on how to set the camera speed according to the available light conditions. Is this right?

You set the aperture and shutter speed using the dials on the front of the camera (on the lens) and the larger dial on the top is part of the built in light meter. Follow the instructions you get with it and it will explain how it works. It basically helps you to select the appropriate aperture/shutter speed.
