Is 8x optical zoom good?
So, my birthday is coming up and I want a new camera. The one that I have my eye on is the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH20K. It is 14.1 megapixels with 8x optical zoom and 4x digital zoom. I really like the 14.1 megapixels because I take a lot of pictures of flowers and close up stuff and with this they will come out really clear.
But I was wondering id 8x optical zoom is good because I go to a lot of concerts and stuff and I don’t necessarily have the best seats, so I really don’t know a lot about optical zoom and I was wondering if 8x optical zoom would be good to get decent pictures at concerts…

Also I want a point and shoot digital camera, not one of those huge cameras the giant lenses…
Nothing would be good enough for concerts unless you are on-stage with the performers. Take the Lumix for its exceptional lens. As long as you give it enough light, you’ll get fabulous pictures consistently.
