What is the going rate for working at a major news company?
I work in New York City at a major news corporation i.e. NBC, Fox News,CBS at a desk job. I don’t make very much money and I always hear rumors that the technical operators make a ton of money. If anyone is experienced in this subject or has experience working as a technical operator I’m just intrigued at how much money you make per hour working a job as a camera guy, audio tech, deko, viz, prompter, etc. type. I just feel like I’m getting screwed at a desk job making 15 an hour when I hear camera people make upwards of 50 an hour…
