Question about flash brackets?
Hello! I am a professional photographer but am not experienced with flash brackets. I am curious as to what the benefits will be from using one and also how they actually work. I have heard that you may need batteries. I just thought they were like a tripod for a camera in a sense. I use a Nikon D200 and a Metz T54 flash mounted on top of the camera. I have had great results with this setup but if I could get even better then of course I’ll go for it.

Flash brackets doe a couple of things. One they reduce risk of “flash shadow casting” and another is they prevent redeye when shooting people.
The only reason you may need a battery pack is if you are shooting a wedding that lasts for many hours and every one of your shots is with some kind of flash or flash fill.

Excellent Quality Picture And Unbelievably Tiny by Chris Charles on 07/25/2009: This has got to be one of the smartest gadgets for a long time. Clip on your shirt pocket or jeans and discreetly film situations anywhere or clamp on a bike or ski helmet. The video quality is good too considering how tiny this it. So portable you can slip in your pocket and pull it out whenever you need to shoot some video. Discreet as well so doesnt draw attention. Going to have lots of fun with this
