I am looking to buy a 16gb memory card for a nikon camera, 14.1 mp, which “card class” would be appropriate?
The camera will be used to take short video clips as well as normal pictures and continuous sport pictures. I am unfamiliar with the specifics of what the card class means and am looking for any information you can give. Thanks in advance.
The advice about checking the manual for compatibility is good advice, but if you will be shooting video then use class 10 (even though some manufacturers will say class 6 as a minimum).

Compatible with both Windows(R) and Mac(R) operating systems, the 2GB Lexar Shoot-n-Sync Wi-Fi memory card will ship in October.
The Shoot-N-Sync does everything the normal Eye-Fi does, but this time round it will be available from a legit memory card manufacturer. Word has it Lexar will use a Class 2 SD card, and hopefully they’ll also do something about the Wi-Fi speed to keep up with the times.
