Lomo Cameras Question(s)?
Hello,
I am completely new at photography. I am also an artist, I was thinking of purchasing a holga because of the unpredictable features, the only thing holding me back is the idea of the film, isnt 120 mm more rare?
Would it be a better investment for me to buy a lomo lc a to begin and experiment with? I want a camera where i can deal with the film more easily, is it easier to deal with the lomo lc a that takes a 35mm?
also, there seem to be many other really cheap and fun looking cameras, like the supersampler.
anyways, for a complete beginner, would you suggest a lomo lc-a or a holga?

While 35mm is going to be more prevalent and easy to come by, 120 shouldn’t be too hard to find. Any local camera store worth it’s salt should stock 120 film. Even chain stores like Wolf/Ritz should stock 120. It’s probably in a freezer behind the counter, though (120 is considered “pro” film, so it gets treated a little better).
Additionally, there are several places around the net that you can buy 120 film from. Off the top of my head:
