Camera Lenses Explained Mm

will the following lenses work properly with my nikon D5000… fhotoace pls help me again thank you in advance?

i asked this same question before and got a great answer, now I actually know what the new lenses are so I’m asking again… the lenses are as follows:
Promaster Spectrum 7 Nikon AF NIKKOR 75-300 mm zoom
Promaster Spectrum AF 100-400 mm Autofocus Zoom
AF NIKKOR Photoco Sky 28-85 mm lens

Now from the answer to the question I asked before I am guessing that these lenses will work on my camera. they just wont auto focus. If this statement is wrong could you please explain it to me.

Assuming that my previous statement is correct and I go ahead and get these lenses what would you suggest that I pay for them.

For a lens to be able to autofocus with your camera, the lens must have the prefix “AFS” in it (for Nikkor lenses). AFS means the lens has a autofocus motor built in. If you are looking for third party lenses, make sure they have the equivalent of an AFS motor, Sigma calls it “HSM”, but im not quite sure about the others.

All the lenses you listed, if I’m not mistaken, will not autofocus with your D5000. However, they will still meter correctly.
