Assist with off-camera flash . . . anyone?
I have a Pentax D10 digital SLR, my first digital, and I love it! But it has a built-in flash that I hate. I’d like to use my Vivitar 2600 EF unit, with bracket, about 4″ above the camera’s hot shoe.
Can anyone here out-do “Gritz” Camera and tell me what I need? The D10 has no “X”-sync socket.
Check the owner’s manual and disable the flash, as Zoivic said, then get an attachment that fits on your hot shoe and has a flash sync socket on it. You can buy these at camera shops. Then connect the socket to your flash with a short lead.
