Good camera gear backpack allowed as carry-on plane?
I’m off to Peru (again) and this time I want to take a little more gear, so I am thinking of a camera backpack this time. Two bodies, a 10-20 Sigma wide-angle, a 50mm prime 1.4 Nikkor, a 18-55 kit lens, and a 70-300 f4.5 Nikkor, and two bounce flashes. Not a whole lot, but too much to hike around with in a shoulder bag.
Here’s the thing, I don’t want to get too big of a backpack because I’ll need to take it as a carry-on for every plane. I’m thinking Lowepro, but not sure which models to check out. Any advice?
Fishmeister, why insult me by letting me know how silly you think I am? You have no idea what my purpose is. I’m not looking for your opinion on what gear to bring/not bring. Thanks anyway for your opinion. You didn’t even answer the question. Why answer?
Thanks, Jeannie. I’m doing both film and digital, the two bodies use different flashes, that’s why I need both.
I recommend the Lowepro Flipside 300.
I have this bag and since you have around the same amount of gear as i do, it should fit.
Cheers
-EDIT-
never never never NEVER ever let your bag go through check out where they put it below the plane… your gear will get screwed up.
Always keep your bag beneath the seat ON the plane..
Good Luck
