The goal of the design with the Fujifilm Finepix XP10 was to combine an under water camera that could stand up to the rigors of an active lifestyle while looking good. This goal was achieved. It has a stylish look that can be taken under water and has great shock resistance for active lifestyles.
The Fujifilm Finepix XP10 under water camera is one of the least expensive models that still offers quality. It sells for less than $150 US and it provides the clarity and picture quality that more expensive models have. Color and detail are quite impressive and this camera can be considered to be an excellent value for any amateur or even budding photographer that wants to explore photo shots under water.
The body of the camera is actually relatively thin in comparison to most of the other under water cameras on the market today. It has an easy to use styling that is fine tuned to help produce excellent shots taken with only one hand. Users that are proficient in terms of active lifestyles will no doubt appreciate the one handed operation of this camera. When the perfect photo opportunity crops up, it’s much easier to get the shot when operation is well defined.
With 12.2 megapixels and 720 p HD video capacity, this camera is one that produces the same or higher resolution images as competitors that sell for twice the price. Of course, there are some design issues that might be worked out for the next series, including the need for larger operational icons. Yet, for half of what the consumer would normally expect to pay the overall function and quality of the camera is highly rated.
Despite the lack of a wide angle lens, the zoom and flash operations produce detail oriented images with great color provided that the user stays within the recommended flash range. This isn’t difficult since the flash range, in layman’s terms, is dusk through daylight. Users won’t be taking any photos in the dark.
There are seven various options for resolution and the additional picture features black and white photo options as well as sepia photos, giving the user a wide range of potential photos to shoot on land or under water.
For additional features, the user is likely to appreciate the option to use the Natural and Flash setting. This setting allows the Fujifilm Finepix XP10 to snap the same image with and without flash to give the operator the choice of which image is better.
